5 Gifts from the Heart, Economical Giving, Eco-Friendly Merry Christmas

Built by Florita Wilhelm on Monday, December 10th, 2007

I try to be a responsible citizen for our environment as I can, to be able to save our earth for the next generation to come. This Christmas, here’s a guide to an economical eco-friendly gift giving, thoughtful gifts from the heart.

1. The best gift I can give someone is the joy of reading a book. In this time when there is hardly any time left to sit down and open a book, the best gift I know is an audio book. You can play it on your iPod or MP3 player while doing chores, taking your dog for a walk or while doing your exercise.

For a lady friend, for a sister, or co-worker get A Guide to Anti-Aging by Andy Guides. Surely anyone of the girls worry about dry skin, injuries, smoke, sun, cold weather, tanning beds and other harmful elements in the world causing wrinkles to develop faster than nature allows. The way anti aging products are flying off the shelf in today’s marketplace, it would seem that many have the same concerns., a very practical book, no paper back or book to carry, a truly eco-friendly gift!

2. Avoid crowds at the mall by going to the mall in the early morning on a weekday. Make sure that you get a full breakfast before you leave and don’t forget to make a list. Having a full stomach makes you more alert and gives you the strength to stick to your list and your budget.

3. Bake cookies for sharing. Baking cookies gives your home a warm scent of sweetness. Set the cookies in a basket or a nice dish, wrap the basket or dish with clear plastic, attach a nice big bow. You can give one to the postman, for your child’s teacher, for your in-laws, etc.

4. If you are not into baking, gather fruits – apples, oranges, pears, bananas and grapes. Put the fruits in a basket and add some nuts and candies. Wrap the basket with a clear plastic, secure with a big nice bow. What a healthy gift to share with the people you care about this Christmas.

5. For the people who have everything, send flowers, or a live pine tree that is decorated, or a nice poinsettia. Flowers are good for the spirit and the live plants are good for the environment.

Merry Christmas!
