You would not want acne on your face. It is embarassing and can make you feel very self conscious. When your acne starts to spread to your whole face and neck, it can be very hard to control. 1. Healthy Food And Diet. First, while the old myth that fried foods and chocolate cause acne has been disproved, it is still important to eat right and have good nutrition. You need to eat whole grains, vegetables, lean meats and fruits. Also you need to made sure that you are getting enough vitamins and minerals in your diet. It might be necessary take a good quality vitamin supplement. You also need to exercise regularly to build up a good immune system. Avoid smoking, alcohol and dangerous drugs.

2. Good Hygiene. Next, you need to practice proper hygiene. Acne is not caused by bad hygiene but most certainly, acne can be worsened if you do practise good clean habits. You can easily introduce bacterium with dirty fingers and nails. A gentle wash will help.

3. Tea Tree Oil Or Benzoyl Peroxide. If you are into natural remedies, tea tree oil is a popular natural remedy that works the same way Benzoyl peroxide works. However, if you wish to use Benzoyl peroxide or any other chemical antibacterial agents to wash your face, begin with a low concentration first. Too strong a wash is harsh to your skin and this may affect your texture and complexion.

These substances decrease inflammation and promote wound healing. The lignins in Aloe Vera penetrate the skin and carry the healing effect into the tissues. Aloe Vera is also said to boost your immune system.

5. Acupuncture. Acupuncture is a treatment that is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture for acne involves using sterilised needles to remove certain blockages in your “qi” or life force along your meridian points. Some practitioners say that acupuncture can cure the root causes of acne.

6. Light therapy. Light therapy is expensive but many find this form of acne treatment helpful. It involves treatments of light in wavelength that supposedly kills bacteria.
