You’ll be happy to know that a peaceful mind is something you can achieve.
Living life with a sense of inner peace is a wonderful way to be and something you should learn how to do.
Today, I’d like to center on one of the many ways you can work on achieving a peaceful mind, and therefore, a peaceful life.
In fact, this is a practical inner peace idea…
In my observations, one of the biggest obstacles to a peaceful life is making choices in life that result in unenjoyable activities. More specifically, not identifying a way to earn your living in something you enjoy will do wonders to impede your inner peace
Half the battle in achieving a peaceful mind is the ability to wake up each day of your life anticipating the day!
Not a very revolutionary idea, yet how much serious thought have you given it? How long now have you trudged through your days just going through the motions? How much longer are you going to deny yourself a peaceful life… a happy life?
Somewhere on my website, I’ve described my move out to Los Angeles at age 22 in search of a rock-n-roll career. So it should come as no surprise regarding my interest in the Rockstar show that aired last summer where the new band Supernova was searching for a singer.
One girl who got booted off the show said something in her farewell speech that got me thinking… She said one thing she learned during her time in this competition is that all her life she’s played it safe. She described how she’s now going to take more chances in her life in order to attain her dreams.
Have you been living like this? Are you in a nice safe job or settle for a bunch of safe friends? How many times have you gone out on a limb and taken a chance on maybe achieving a dream of yours?
Once? Twice? Never?
More than likely, if you’re like most people, you’ve always held back, never quite going for it.
What does this have to do with a peaceful mind or living a peaceful life? Well, in my opinion, if you can live each day doing something you absolutely enjoy doing, you’ll just naturally have a peaceful mind.
You experience happiness during every part of your day, which brings with it inner peace. The opposite of a peaceful mind is the one filled with anguish and bitterness from settling for some job or career that you just fell into.
You continue a life of day-to-day drudgery because you never fulfilled that youthful desire for whatever it is you dreamt about doing as a child. Most likely, you kept making excuses as to how you couldn’t focus on your dreams today, but that you’d eventually get to it someday.
Isn’t it funny how someday is always someday until you turn it into today?
Don’t feel bad about your frustrations in achieving inner peace and a life of abundance. The past means nothing if you make a conscious effort to change your present.
You’ll discover that a peaceful mind will be yours when you begin to take action on living your dream life today. Actually, you’ll feel inner peace immediately because just working on your dreams fills you with joy and happiness.
Give yourself the gift of a peaceful mind.
