Whoa! All of a sudden you are seeing tons of annoying pop ups. There’s no way to stop them. They keep coming …. what do you do?

Well, before this even happens there are things you can do.

Keep your anti-virus software update to date. Most computers come with a 30 day free virus protection program. Once that expires most people don’t update it. You should! The cost for a good anti-virus software is less than $50 and worth every penny.

Norton and Macafee both make good anti-virus products. It’s a personal choice which one you use. There are free ones out there too. Just do a search and you’ll find them. it’s the worth the money to buy the program.

Be careful what you download. Free wallpaper, cute smileys, free games and things like this are usually causes of spyware on your computer. be careful free programs that are offered to you for a download.

Sites that market to kids are big culprits for spyware. Teach your kids how to use a computer and surf the Internet responsibly. Be aware of sites they visit.

If you aren’t sure what you are clicking on – don’t click on it. Be careful of opening email from email addresses you don’t know.

You will still need a good anti-virus program by following these tips but these computer tips will help.
