The holidays are almost over. As with most holidays, especially Christmas and New Years, there is the inevitable weight gain. Some people are very good at maintaining their weight loss eating habits throughtout the holidays.
I didn’t do too bad this year, but for sure I gained some weight. My pants are fitting just a bit tighter now.
After all that eating, what is the best way to get back to your normal eating habits?
I am starting out slowly. Little by little I am cutting back on the amount of food I am eating. Initially it is a little difficult since your body is used to getting so much food.
I definitely want to get back to some of the Flat Belly Diet by eating more Mono Unsaturated Fats like nuts, blueberries, etc. I did notice a difference when I was eating these foods. A lot of the regular bloating I have went away and my belly did look flatter.
Of course the hardest thing to get back into is exercise. It has actually been unseasonably warm so far this month, so going outside for a walk isn’t as hard as it would be normally. Next week I will definitely try to make it back to the gym and add several weight training exercises to mix things up a bit.
One thing that will definitely help is to start drinking more water every day. It really does make a huge difference.
