Are you drinking the recommended amount of water every day?

Built by Perriann Rodriguez on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

When you read health magazines or just about any magazine, you will come across an article that mentions drinking water and how important it is.

There are many different accounts out there as to how much water you should be drinking. Should it be 8 glasses that are 8 oz each or should you be drinking more?

I notice a big difference in everything when i drink enough water. I am more alert–probably from having to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes!!, more awake (same reason) and I generally feel much better when I drink water every day.

There is one thing that doesn’t get better when I drink water, especially in the winter.

That would be my temperature comfort level. It is starting to get very cold outside and the last thing I want to drink is a glass of cold ice water. Sometimes I have to add several layers of clothing on since I really do get cold. My hands and feet are especially cold.

I have never heard anyone recommend drinking hot water, but maybe that is a good choice. Just heat up some water, like you were going to make tea or something, and then just sip on the hot water. You are still drinking water and then you aren’t getting as cold.

Of course if you are sipping hot water you probably won’t drink as much water as you would by drinking cold water. Maybe the strategy is to drink hot water in the afternoons or something. I will give it a try and see. Have you every tried drinking just hot water instead of cold ice water? Has it helped you out? Leave your comments below and share.
