As Winter Finally Will Arrive…

Some people can’t stand the cold weather of Scandinavia. Others enjoy the few days we have where snow lies everywhere. The children do seem to enjoy the weather and to play their snowball fights etc.

Just as cold as Scandinavia may be in winter, it is just as nice during summer. Finally, freezing temperatures will begin to appear between sunday and monday.

Get a perspective on WHY this is rather positive.

Bugs Can’t Stand Winter!

The best thing about a freezing cold winter is that it kills bugs, mosquitos, flies etc. Not all of them, as that would surely be rather destructive for flowers etc, but it does limit their numbers considerably.

Also, plants have been rather confused this year. Some of them began flourishing in January. Danes have had an absolute heat record with overall temperatures being almost 2 degrees celsius above previous years – a heat record of some seventy years.

Weather Changes

Some view weather changes as impending destruction of the earth. There are many such “cry wolf” strategies. But it does remain quite fascinating to see the big changes in recent years.

At least we have a few cold weeks ahead of us.

Some of us are already looking forward to temperatures in March – but nonetheless the joy of seeing kids enjoy winter does make it easier to accept the cold weather.
