Bob D.'s Bio
About me: My name is Bob. I was born in 1971 and grew up in the northern Detroit suburbs. I spent thirty years in Michigan until moving to the Phoenix area in late 2001. I am happily married to my wife Stephanie and we have two beautiful daughters born in December '02 and December '04. Life is great here in northwest Phoenix!
My background: I graduated from Michigan State University in 1994 with an engineering bachelor's degree and from Walsh College (Troy, MI) in 1996 with an Master's of Science in Management. I worked as a brake engineer for an automotive supplier in Michigan for seven years, and the same for an auto-manufacturer's proving ground since 2001 here in Arizona.
My interests: I'm a busy guy with two little ones, but in my spare time I enjoy shotgun sports (skeet, trap, bird hunting, etc.) and tinkering around the house, but most of all I enjoy riding my motorcycles and have been doing so since 1978.
Currently I have three of them: 2000.5 Aprilia RSV Mille 'R', 2003 Aprilia Caponord, and a 2000 Yamaha YZ426f. These give me all the options I need to pick my terrain.
I am also the owner, operator, and janitor of a motorcycle blog called the Motorcycle Bloggers Group. When I'm not riding bikes, I'm reading and writing about them. While its no substitute for the real thing, I keeps me involved. Like cleaning your bike, its the labor of love.
Favorite Motorcycle Quote "If you're going to ride stupid, you better be tough."
