Glenn Cutforth's Bio
Hello Everyone.
My name is Glenn Cutforth and I'm a person who wears many hats writer, publisher, graphic designer, web developer, small business owner and really bad musician, although I do try my best when I sit down at the piano. The sounds I make are more for my own relaxation and since I'm a bachelor, I can play badly as often as I want without any complaints. Emma is the only one here to protest and, of course, she never does. Emma prefers sleeping in the window sill or on top of the bookcase or in some far away corner that I rarely visit, even with the vacuum cleaner in hand.
I've been working from home for over ten years now and it has the major advantage of being able to spend all day on the Internet if I choose to and I don't worry too much about the price of gas, although I can certainly empathize with those people who can't live without their SUVs who are now paying such a heavy price to have so much power at their fingertips.
I will be covering two areas at the World Villiage Blog, Pets and Self-Help, and yes, in some ways they are related. Pets are certainly popular and most of the time a joyful experience. I've been a Pet owner all my life and I will be sharing some of my thoughts on Pet ownership and hope you find the ideas and insights helpful.
I guess you must be wondering at this point what qualifications I have to write about Self-Help since I have no medical degrees next to my name and I certainly make no claim to have any special education that could deem to make me an expert. The main qualification I can claim is that I was born under the sign of Cancer, which means I have this empathy thing going for me, I have a memory like an elephant and, perhaps, most of all, I've read a lot of books, all useful traits for a writer.
When I was a teenager I read a book called "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. At the time I instinctively knew that what I was reading was extremely good advice. It seemed "right." The problem was, I just didn't have enough life experience to understand how to implement any of the techniques I'd learned. And so I promptly forgot everything and lived my life, blundering on like most of us do, trying to make sense of all the ups and downs; the frustrations and magic moments and the best ways to cope with every situation.
A few years ago, I found myself returning to all the "Self-Help Classics" I'd read as a teenager and was amazed at how much my perspective had changed. At last I had a real understanding that sometimes we can't always do everything by ourselves. Sometimes it's a good idea to get different perspectives going in our lives. I must admit, revisiting these classics helped me to slowly make adjustments to my everyday life that have really had a major effect.
So, what I hope to do here is to share some of the things I've learned that might work for you as well. As a publisher, I've put together a series of these Self-Help Classics that I call the Self-Help Success Collection which is available at SelfHelpand Wellness.com. My company, Zxmaxx Communications, can be found at Zxcomm.com
Next to books, movies and music (and of course all my computers) there are two things I really love and that is Cats and Golf. I finally finished developing my Cat site, which you can find at TheCompleteCat.com, and yes, the golf site is in the works to be completed once I've finished my home business blogg and a few other projects which includes getting more classic books online for people to read. The first one, The Secret of Wealth, is available at CreatingWealth4Life.info, so I hope you'll drop by and perhaps gain a few insights into this important topic.
