You work hard all year long and look forward to planning and taking your family vacation. But where will you go this year and how much are you willing to spend. The increasing popularity of all-inclusive vacation resorts is a trend that many have noticed over the last several years.

An all inclusive resort typically includes your accommodations, taxes, meals, activities and entertainment. There are many different things that you should consider before you book one of these resorts. As it turns out, you may not be saving any money at all and you might in fact be adding unneeded stress to your most relaxing time of the year. Consider the following:

1. If you were to buy all of your meals every day, estimate how much you would spend.

2. How selective are you and your family about food? There may only be a few restaurants to choose from at the all-inclusive resorts. What do you do if your family doesn’t like the food there? Answer - you stress out–because you already paid for all the meals and you don’t have any other choices on where to eat.

3. What kind of activities do you reguraly plan to do on family vacations? Do you plan something for every day or maybe just once or twice during the vacation? Add up your estimated expenditures on activities.

4. As with any deal or contract, you should read all the fine print. Know the facts going in – for example, is anything extra above the price you are quoted. Is room service included, in-room movies, etc.

When you are done evaluating, you can compare prices by adding up all expenses that you would normally incur on a vacation and see how the total matches up to the all-inclusive resort. If you will save money by going with the all-inclusive resort, be sure to read reviews of each resort before you book. Unsatisfied customers will let you know exactly what they didn’t like about the place. Sometimes these reviews are invaluable sources.

If you are looking to rent a condo that is not-inclusive- check out Florida Condos and Beach Rentals

I remember over 10 years ago when I started using a computer on a regular basis. I was probably a few years behind everyone else. I started out with an desktop and browsed the Internet a little bit each day, trying to learn how it all worked. One day, my browser started hanging and taking forever to go to a website.

I had one of those extended warranty plans and called in to the support desk to find out what might be wrong with my comp. I remember the support technician asking me if I had cleaned my cookied recently. I had no clue what he was talking about. As it turned out, I had browsed the Internet for for over a year and a half without ever deleting any cookies. Not only did I not know what a cookie was, I also didn’t know or understand why it needed to be deleted.

Sometimes with computers it can be better to just know that you have to do something, rather than knowing why. If you aren’t familiar with all the lingo and terms, it can get pretty confusing.

So now, I regularly delete my cookies, also called the cache in all the browsers I use. Usually in each browser there is a Tools pull down menu that has either Internet Options or Clear Browsing History listed. When the computer browser gets too full of these cookies, it will take a long time for web pages to load and could even prevent them from loading at all. Some browsers have automatic settings that let you delete everything, for example, when you exit the browser. This is a great option if you tend to forget to do these things. Clearing your cookies, in the end, is a necessary regular step of computer maintenance that will help improve and keep your browsers fresh and loading fast.

Do you get caught up in the high efficiency appliances hoopla? Several years ago our clothes washer broke down. It was a normal top loading machine that had lasted maybe 7 years total. When it was time to get a new one, I researched a lot of the new front loading machines since they are supposed to save a lot in your water bill. Our water bill could definitely used some reductions.

I ended up getting a front loading washing machine and anxiously awaited my next water bill. It was maybe 10% less if that since the price of the water had gone up. Not much to be excited about. Oh well, right? A reduction does mean less money even if it is only a few bucks.

Next came the furnace – just went out after about 15 years. Honestly, they just don’t make things to last anymore. I again researched online and decided to go with the high efficiency gas furnace. It was supposed to save 30% on the gas bill. So, I decided to go with the higher priced gas furnace and anxiously awaited my gas bill. It was slightly, almost neglible, less than the previous bill. What was different was my electric bill–which was nearly double what it normally is. It turns out that the high efficiency gas furnace uses less gas to power the furnace by switching to an electric powered blower to circulate the air.

As it turns, out my expenditures in so-called “hi-efficiency” appliances were not so well-spent after all. I have not noticed any overall benefit of spending more money on these appliances. I could have saved thousands of dollars by just going with regular models. Anyone else have the same experience? Leave your comments below.

Shouldn’t they be able to make a computer that doesn’t need to ever be fixed? It can really be annoying when you are trying to get something done and your computer is giving you problems. Most people don’t know much about how to fix a computer and much less are they really interested in learning. This leaves many people taking their computers to repair centers, paying hefty repair fees for something that was probably really simple to fix.

Anyways, here are 5 sure signs that there is something wrong with your computer and what the problem might be.

1. The computer/speakers won’t turn on. I’ve had this happen many times only to find out that the power cord was loose. It seems rather obvious- it works better when it is plugged in– but save yourself the time and embarrasment of hauling your computer in to get repaired to find out it needs to be plugged in. Another check- make sure the outlet it is plugged in is properly functioning. Try plugging something else into the outlet.

2. Blue screen. Anytime your computer has a blue screen – there is something wrong. Things that I have done to fix the blue screen is to restore the computer to an earlier version- when computer was working or simply reformatting. If you have installed anything recently- this could be the culprit.

3. It takes forever for anything to load. Browsers, emails, documents, etc. – if it takes forevever, then something might be wrong. Try clearing your internet cache, empty recycle bin, see how many programs are running at the same time (task manager)- these are just a few suggestions. Also, your computer might need a memory upgrade. This can be fairly easy to do yourself. There are even online videos that show you exactly how to add more memory to your computer.

4. Everytime you open a browser, your selected home page gets changed. This is a sure sign that you have some sort of ad ware, virus or even trojan on your computer. Get a good virus scanner installed and clean up your computer fast.

5. Pop Up Messages. One time when I was on a computer all sorts of pop up messages kept coming up. I remember trying to stop them by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete at the same time. The pop up message then said press those keys again and see what happens. As it turns out my computer was majorly infected with who knows what. I quickly reformatted it and everything was ok then.

In short, until they create a computer that doesn’t mess up, we will have to deal with all these little maintenance steps.

Everyone has hair bangs it seems – as the trend for long sideswept bangs returns in full. Adding bangs to your hairstyle is the fastest way to update your look without having to do something drastic such as getting a whole new hairstyle or changing the color. The only drawback of adding bangs is the fact that if you do not like the look, you will have to wait a long time for them to grow out- especially if you cut a full bang.

Bangs can be cut in many different ways. There is the full hair bang that is cut deep into the crown area, laying across your forehead at eyebrow or longer lengths. The bangs can be texturized or layered to reduce bulk and make styling much easier. A heavy, bulky bang will tend to frizz up if not styled properly.

The sideswept bang is a very popular type of cut that features long bangs- past the eye length that are swept off to the side from a deep side part. The sweeping motion helps to soften any hairstyle and give it a very modern, sexy appeal as one portion of one eye can be covered with the bangs.

Fringe bangs are a great choice when you are just considering adding some bangs. These are just small amounts of bangs added in a wispy sort of fashion so that they softly drape across the head. The beauty of the fringe bang is that if you don’t like the look, these small pieces of hair can easily be styling in with the rest of your hair without too much trouble.

In short, if you want to update your current look, adding bangs is a great choice. Get more ideas and see examples at hairstyles with bangs.

A new year calls for an easy hair style. If you spend a lot of time styling your hair every day, maybe you need a new hair cut that will make daily maintenance easier. But what exactly is an easy hair styl?

Easy is a relative term. What might be easy for one is not for another. It all comes down to some common factors of a hair style. Consider the following:

1. Does your hair style require a lot of styling?

2. How often do you go for haircuts?

3. How often do you color your hair or go to the salon for color?

4. What type of hair style do you have or want?

These are all important questions that will affect whether your hair style is in fact easy or not. If your current hair style requires a lot of styling time, or you have to really wrestle with it- i.e. flat iron excessively or curl- to get it so look right, then you probably could use a new hair style that has easier styling involved. Discuss with your hair stylist exactly what is causing problems and he or she will try to come up with a solution to fix it. For example, if you have extra thick hair and you cannot get it to be straight or flat, your hair stylist may suggest adding in long layers to reduce some of the bulk and make styling much easier.

A great haircut could require frequent trims to keep the layers and cut in shape. If you don’t have time to go for regular haircuts, then you shouldn’t get a style that will look off after a few weeks of hair growth. This is especially true with shorter haircuts.

If you color your hair at home, you can save a lot of time and money and this will make things easier for you. However, if you must go to the salon, count on the hours of time involved for hair color appointments not to mention the cost.

Are you trying to get a very modern or fancy haircut? Always keep in mind that a trendy celebrity, worn by your favorite celebrity, is usually styled every day by a professional stylist. Getting the same styling results at home may be difficult.

In short easy hairstyles can make your daily styling much simpler and less stressful.

Finding the right hairstyle for your wedding involves some planning and research. The first step is to select your wedding dress and headpiece/veil. it is important to do this before looking for a hair style since the veil and/or headpiece plays an important part of how your hairstyle will look.

After you have selected your dress and headpiece, the next step is to start looking at hairstyles that you like. Make a copy of these pictures to bring to you hair stylist when you go for your styling appointment. Many brides schedule a trial run at the salon several weeks in advance just to try out a style and see how it looks with the dress. It is also a great opportunity to see how the hair style will last all day long.

There are many different styling options for a wedding day style. Consider the fancy updo with lots of twists, curls and/or braided sections. This type of style may be best done by a professional hair stylist. Another option is the partial updo style that features a small portion of hair in the crown area pulled back into a ponytail. The rest of the hair can be styled all over curly or straight.

A great option for many brides is the french braid style. This style is great because it allows for placement of the headpiece and offers a very pretty view in the back of the hair. Different options include braiding the hair all to one side from a deep side part.

The ponytail style is a very quick and easy style that works for a wedding day hair style. The hair can be flat ironed all over for a slick smooth style or all over curly for a more romantc look. See more hairstyles for a wedding tips and checklist

Starting a franchise business is a great option for people that want to own and operate their own business, but don’t have the necessary know-how to get going. There are many reputable franchisors out there that offer a complete turn-key system to get you up and running. There are several criteria you should use to evaluate which franchise business you should choose.

1. Cost. Most franchisors charge a franchise fee up front and charge royalties on sales. When comparing businesses, you will need to have this information available. The higher percentage a franchisor charges on your sales, the less your income will be.

2. Interest. Typically a franchise operation involves a lot of work – days, nights, week-ends. The business should be an ongoing interest of yours since you will be spending a lot of time working.

3. Reputation. Does the franchisor have a good reputation in your area? You may be paying big bucks, for example, for a business that is well known in some other part of the country, but unknown where you live. Part of the franchisee fee that you pay is based on the reputation of the brand name.

4. Other franchisees. Sometimes the best way to get an honest opinion about a business is to call other franchisees and ask pertinent questions. Make sure you call businesses that aren’t on the reference list the franchisor gives you- all of those franchisees are poised to give positive recommendations. It is the franchisees that aren’t on that list that you should be calling. They will give you a more realistic opinion about the business and sales potential.

5. Lawsuits. A great way to find out about how a franchisor treats its franchisees is to research any impending lawsuits against the company. Then if you have a list of lawsuits in hand, ask the sales rep from the franchisor the next time you talk to him or her, if any franchisees have filed lawsuits against them. If they say no- well you have the info right there.

6. Better Business Bureau. Another great way to check up on the franchisor. Check to see if there have been any complaints filed against the franchisor in the last 5 years.

6. Verify Company details. Sometimes a troubled franchisor will incorporate a brand new company and bring the franchise business along. The old company, with a bad reputation is closed up or left dwindling. Verify when the current company was started, who the founders are and any other details about the company. Verify the truthfulness of the franchisor by asking these questios (which you already know the answers)

in short, starting a franchise business can be very rewarding. Care and research must be done beforehand to ensure that the franchisor is reputable.

As 2011 comes to a close in a few short weeks it is time to take a glance back at some of the top hairstyles of the year. Every year there are new and improved looks that are just a little bit better than the last year and this year was no exception The top styles this year include the following features: Layers and Bangs

Long Hairstyles with Layers – this style features long layers cut in throughout the style for a very free flowing look. This is a head turner look that anyone can wear. If you don’t have long hair, you can just get clip-in hair extensions or even permanent extensions. Styling products are helpful to help keep the layers under control. Layers added below the chin will elongate the chin, while layers that are shorter than the chin will make the face appear rounder. Face framing layers combined with all over light layers will give the hair the most movement. Also it is important that the layers not be cut with a razor as this can lead to breakage in the hair.

Sideswept bangs – this year saw a major comeback of the hair bangs. The most popular type of bang is the sideswept bang featuring bangs cut past the eyebrow and swept off ot one side of the face from a deep side part. The long sideswept bang is very flexible as it is long enough to be styled with the rest of the hair if you don’t like the look after awhile or want to change your appearance. Shorter hair bangs are more of a committment as it will take a considerable amount of time to grow out the hair if you do not like the look.

In short, 2011 brought us the long layered hairstyle and the hairstyles with bangs as the most popular looks.

Your hair style has a lot to do with how you look, how people see you and eventually how you feel. If you go to a job interview and your hair looks messy, damaged, frizzy or otherwise not good, then you take the chance that you will not make a good impression.

Just because you don’t have or want a super trendy hair style doesn’t mean you can ignore your hair. Below are top reasons that your hair style isn’t doing you any favors.

1. Dry, damaged hair. If you hair looks like it could soak up a bottle of water, it is probably over dry and/or damaged. Simple fixes for this problem include conditioning treatments or simply using regular conditioners. These products are available at the drug store and there are many different types that are very affordable and do a good job of conditioning your hair and treating damage. You might have to start out using the conditioning treatment frequently to counteract any previous hair damage.

2. Split ends. A simple trim can take care of these nasty little end of the hair problems. The sooner you get rid of split ends, the less likely they will be to run up your hair shaft unattended.

3. Bulky, unkempt hair style. When is the last time you had a trim? If you have any kind of layers or bulkiness in your hair, you will need to get frequent trims to keep up with the growth. If you can’t afford to go to the salon very often, invest in a good pair of scissors and try trimming up some layers or reducing bulk at home. There are many free online sources that can help you cut your own hair.

4. Bad styling. Did you run out the door without brushing and styling your hair? Very few people can get away with no styling. Simple steps such as blow drying the hair, applying stylinig lotions/creams can help achieve a decent looking hair style.

5. Wrong haircut for you. A hair style needs to be cut to flatter your face shape. If your style doesn’t flatter, then it could be the wrong type of cut. Ask your stylist next time what the best type of haircut style would be for your face shape and hair texture.

In short, there are many different things you can do it you don’t like the way your hair style looks. These changes don’t involve spending a ton of money or time- just concentrated effort in the right place. See more hair styles galleries and get ideas for your next look.
