As a Type 1 diabetic now for 14 years I know the ups and downs that accompany the disease.
At 17, being diagnosed seemed like a death sentence of sorts. No more eating my favorite foods, no more having fun and partying it up with my friends like a 17 year old is supposed to do. Though it ended up not being as dramatic as I thought it would be, it has been a bit of a bumpy road at times.
But, I'm still alive, I'm still having fun, and well, I'm still a diabetic. Some things never change I guess. I've learned alot about dealing with this disease and still learn more every single day...
