About 2 weeks before school begins start transitioning back to regualr bedtimes and wake up schedules.
Get all the schoool supplies ready so there’s no last minute panic.
Finalize back to school shopping. Plan that first day wardrobe. Check that shoes fit and and any clothes oyu plan to carry over form last year fit.
Visit the schoool again or do a practice walk or drive to the school.
Ask questions and talk to your child about the upcoming year. What they can expect, how they want it to go, what they want to accomplish.
Plan ahead so that after that first day of school the evening is set aside to hear all about their day. perhaps do somehting special that night like a favorite dinner or out to dinner and focus on them.
