“Being creative at Christmas time”

Built by Di McDonald on Monday, December 19th, 2005

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have not blogged for a while. Big changes have happened in my life and I have shifted from Australia to New Zealand.

The shift happened for family reasons and has been a huge upheavel!

I am so lucky that I can move like this and still carry on my business as usual.

I am getting settled now and in only a week we have Christmas. This year I am having family come to stay for this special holiday. I am pretty excited and would love to have had more time to be really creative………..but I am going to do the best I can anyway.

A few years ago I designed a Christmas Angel for people to make, which would be great to hang on the Xmas tree as an ornament or even as a simple quick gift to give away. I photographed the steps needed to make her and have that available still on my website if you would like to use it. Just go to

http://www.dyzee.com/xclassindex.htm

Enjoy!

For the centerpiece on my kitchen table this Christmas Day I plan to combine Pinecones with silver glitter on with pumice I collected from the shores of a beautiful New Zealand Lake with Silver Christmas Tree balls in a platter. This sort of combination works well for us “down under” where it is summertime.

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Christmas and do try to make time for yourself to be creative these holidays.
