Because Hawaii is such a popular vacationing destination, there is no doubt that there are visitors year round. As a matter of fact, there are around eight million people a year who vacation to Hawaii. Each year this number seems to increase. Because this state is naturally blessed with beautiful landscapes at every corner, it is no mystery why Hawaii is so very popular. Not only is Hawaii blessed with a beautiful landscape, but also with friendly weather all throughout the year. So, with this in mind, there really is no best time to visit Hawaii unless you are going in the whale watching season. However, the best times to visit usually fall in between the busy seasons.

The weather in Hawaii can be divided into two seasons. These seasons are summer and winter. The winter months run from mid October to April, with day time temperatures in the mid sixties to eighty Fahrenheit. However, the night time temperatures in the winter will fall between the forties and fifty Fahrenheit, so remember to bring a jacket along if you travel to Hawaii in these months. There is also more rain during this time of year, especially in November and December. If you are looking for a drier during these winter months try Waikiki on Oahu, Makena, Wailea on Maui, or Kona and Kohala on the Big Island.

The summer months are in between May and the beginning of October. Day time temperatures will be around eighty degrees Fahrenheit and at night time you will find the temperatures to be around five to ten degrees cooler. There will also be less rainfall during the summer months and when it does rain it is in short spells. These months are the best months for beach activities like surfing and scuba diving. Surfing is great during the summer months and is the reason many people visit Hawaii at this time.

The busiest time for tourists in Hawaii is between Christmas time to April. If you find yourself visiting Hawaii during this part of the season you will have the hassle of many other tourists. So, if you wish for your trip to be more peaceful, you will want to plan your vacation well after Christmas.
