Conduct a quick search around the internet and you’ll be left with the belief that 90%+ of those who’ve formed a relationship with a Thai bar girl would tell you ‘no’, you can’t trust your Thai girlfriend.  And I’d been inclined to agree.  

But what you can do is always trust a Thai bar girl to be a Thai bar girl.

There are certainly exceptions to any rule and there are without doubt success stories that occur within the Bar girl / Falang dating scene, with solid relationships formed and many proclaiming how they ‘couldn’t be happier’.  Although if I’m honest the cynic in me wonders if these are girls who are having all of their needs met (predominantly financially), and whether these same relationships would be so sound if money was not offered freely.  

She told you that she loved you without doubt, and perhaps she told you that she wanted to be with you ‘always’, maybe marry, have a house and a baby, start a nice little family.  And that she’ll wait for you when you return home.

And perhaps you swallowed it hook, line and sinker.  You wouldn’t be the first.  

Or perhaps in her case she even meant it.

But know that all of them say it.
