Experts say that the CD’s/DVD’s that you’ve burned will only last 2 to 5 years before they degrade and become unusable.

You may want to consider checking the discs you’ve burned and maybe re-burn them or keep a back-up copy on your computer. You can also store information on usb drives. Consider cleaning out old files too. Most of us don’t need the 2003 Holiday card list if we have the 2008 available.
