Colon Cancer – Signs and Symptoms.

Below are some of the important signs and symptoms of Colon Cancer

1> Bleeding from Rectum – Cancer tissue is very fragile as compared to normal tissue. While passing the stools, the faeces rub against it causing passage of fresh blood after the stools.

2> Altered Habits of Bowel Evacuation – A cancerous growth occurring inside the large intestine narrows its diameter. Hence the stools passed are of unusually narrow diameter. This gives rise to incomplete evacuation. Stools stored inside the large intestine for a long time irritate the inner lining of colon causing diarrhea. Once the stools are evacuated it is again followed by constipation. This vicious cycle of constipation and diarrhea is a significant symptom of colon cancer.

3> Massive growth of cancer can cause feeling of incomplete evacuation.

4> Constant fatigue, anemia, unexpected loss of weight are the symptoms associated with longstanding chronic ongoing disease process.
