Customizing Wordpress Kubrick Template

You’ve installed Wordpress on your website but found that it installed with the standard default template, called Kubrick that has the same-old, same-old look and feel to it. Now, you want to know how to modify the Wordpress Kubrick header graphic to match the rest of your website design.

It’s not an easy task to change the Kubrick header graphic in the default template of Wordpress these days. You see, if you have version 1.5 or higher, the template now comes with a built-in feature that lets you modify the colors of the blue header graphic but this new feature presents a problem if you want to replace the header graphic entirely.

Why would you want to replace the Kubrick header graphics on your Wordpress blog?

If you blog is an add-on to your website, you might want to give it the same banner or logo that you website presents to avoid visitor confusion. When a site visitor moves from the main body of your website to your blog, you want them to know they are still with the same website.

An easy way to do this and still keep the Kubrick default template is to “simply” replace the existing blue header graphic with a banner graphic that contains and/or matches the banner or logo of your main website. But…”simply” is not really all that simple, as I mentioned, with newer versions of Wordpress.

So How Do You Get Your Site Logo/Banner Into Your Wordpress Blog?

First, you should be sure that you have a site logo or header banner that brands your site’s look and feel. You can invest in a low-cost logo or header banner for your website at budget logo designs.. You’ll have full copyrights to a logo that brands your presence on the web making your site unique and memorable. (Learn more about why you need to create a brand for your website here.)

Then, transfer your header banner to your wordpress blog to provide continuity for your site visiors using a tutorial called, How To Change The Header Graphic in Kubrick Template, that I created that shows you exactly how to make this whole process easy.

Go there now to pick up a blank header graphic that makes it easy to insert your site logo, view the video tutorial and find out how to get rid of the Kubrick header graphic and overriding text problem, once and for all!
