There is an old saying:
“A sinning man will stop praying. A praying man will stop sinning.”
The question of “sinfulness” rests upon specific definitions of what sin is.
Are you sure you know what it is?
Never presume you know…
First of all, there is a very important difference in focus between Jews and Christians.
Christians focus much – in articles, sermons and interviews – on the subject of either sin or “putting one’s faith in jesus”.
It is often a very passive thing. No requirements on the individual, but very much on sinning so grace may be more abundant.
In Judaism our focus is far more centered around righteousness – doing the right things.
Obedience to Law because we know it is the right way to go.
Christian Misunderstandings
Christians would define us as slaves to the law.
We will never come to agree in that area because most Christians think judaism is already explained in their greek testament.
They find no need to investigate what is being said, and therefore paradigms persist.
[If they ever began to study Judaism themselves, they would do as I did: run away from christianity...

I Think God Wants Us To Be More Tolerant
I have always been a subscriber of tolerance. Tolerance is not the same as acceptance. I can no longer accept many tenets of christianity, but I can live up to the democratic standards of tolerance towards christians, just as I would expect the same of others.
Tolerance is a vital necessity in a world where INtolerance is so rampant. This new year, 2007, in no way promises to be any more peaceful than 2006, but instead of looking “at the others”, let’s try to show tolerance in our own lives. In our own neighborhoods. War could never begin if this was practiced everywhere.
Think about that for a moment…
