Diet Fads – Part 1
I hear so many of these fad diets, low carb, no carb, fats are good, fats are bad, etc. It’s quite ridiculous in my opinion. From my experience there is no “one size fits all” diet program. Everybody has different body types. A lot of people refer to foods as being “good” or “bad” for you. What they really mean is: Good = low fat, or low carbs; Bad = high fat, or high carbs. But what they consider good I often consider bad or indifferent.
I’ve tasted food that people now call “healthy” and personally I can’t eat it. Why, because my body has been trained to eat foods that haven’t had the life sucked out of it all in the name of “health”. This so called health food, in my humble opinion
, is basically filler. My body lets me know when I’m getting the proper nutrition. After eating or drinking I feel better than I did before I ate. One thing I’ve begun to notice in the last 2 years is that if I eat this “health” or junk food I end up feeling the same way, filled but not replenished with nutrients. This type of food is filler and my body (and maybe yours too if you listen close enough) is still hungry for nutrients.
