Do you have redness in your face?

I always use to think that I needed to see a dermatologist to get rid of the redness, splotchiness on my face. For several years I actually did see a dermatologist and used a prescription antibiotic cream called Metrocream for several years.

The prescription cream did work after awhile, but I was concerned with having to use a certain cream every day for the rest of my life.

So, after my last prescription ran out several years ago, I started searching for another non-prescription solution for the redness in my face. You will not believe what I discovered.

My first attempt to control rosacea (redness, splotchiness in face) was with a product called ZenMed. It actually worked quite well. The down side is that it was a a little expensive, but much less than the Metrocream I was using.

I used the ZenMed for a few years with some success. As I was nearing the end of my last ZenMed cream, I saw an ad for an Aveeno lotion that supposedly reduced redness and had oatmeal in it. So I decided to try out the Aveeno cream and not re-order the ZenMed cream.

And to my surprise it worked really well. I have been using Aveeno face cream for several years now and all the redness in my face is gone. I don’t have to go to the dermatologist or fill any prescriptions anymore for rosacea.

I just read another tip about getting rid of redness and if you have tried this, leave your comment below. Take a clean washcloth and soak it in cold milk and place over your face for 10 minutes. The milk can help reduce redness and calm irritated skin. It’s worth trying!
