Dream Cancun Resort & Spa – Day 2

The sun filtered through the sheer curtains. Dawn came quickly as we stretched out on our king sized bed. No time table to worry about. Nowhere to go if we didn’t want to. That’s what makes the dream Cancun resort and spa vacation such a pleasure! My granddaughter continued to sleep. Ahhh, peace. I rolled gently out of bed and headed toward the balcony. The room was comfortably air conditioned but I couldn’t wait to open the sliding doors to feel the ocean breeze. . .

It was the beginning of a beautiful sunny day. The sun was just coming up over the turquoise waters. I went out onto the balcony and sat down to drink in the beauty and feel the fresh breeze on my skin. There were only a few others up and moving about. I watched as the staff prepared the pool and bar area for their soon to be arriving guests.

My stomach rumbled a bit. Ah, coffee. Yes, I needed my first morning cup of coffee. At my dream Cancun resort and spa, I didn’t have to go far to get a cup. There was a coffee maker in my room. There was bottled water in the refrigerator and mugs just waiting to be filled with hot steaming coffee. It took a few minutes and my coffee was ready. My granddaughter stirred but didn’t wake up

I went back out onto the balcony and sipped my coffee and watched as the world began to wake up. More activity below. A few people venturing out for breakfast. Others getting ready to take a morning dip in the pool. A few others heading toward the beach.

I opened my bible to do a brief morning devotion and to thank God that He had allowed me to experience this beautiful part of the world. Day two was beginning. We had 6 more to go!
