Eye Wrinkle Removal – Options For Success

Built by Julia Neville on Sunday, August 10th, 2008

One of the inevitable side effects of getting older is wrinkling of the skin, and most of us get them around and under our eyes first. This can make you look older than you are. That causes many people to become curious about eye wrinkle removal. Unfortunately, there’s no way to completely and permanently get rid of eye wrinkles. However, the right care can help you reduce the number of wrinkles you get and make the ones you have look a lot less prominent. That’ll help you stay young looking. Here are a few eye wrinkle removal options you can pick from.

Take Care of Your Skin

The most effective method of eye wrinkle removal is not getting them in the first place. Not all wrinkles require medical intervention or special eye wrinkle remover products. Instead, caring for your body properly to reduce wrinkling is a good first line of defense. Be sure to stay hydrated, so your skin remains elastic, clear of blemishes, and stronger. Also, avoid excess sun, which can cause damage and additional wrinkling.

If you do need to go into the sun, use a good sunscreen, especially if you’ll be out for a long period. Sleep is important, too. Sleep on a regular schedule, and be sure you get enough. That’ll reduce the likelihood of bags under the eyes, and you’ll look and feel better. A good diet is also important, since poor nutrition can make your wrinkles look deeper. If your eye tends to get tired, use a cooling compress. Avoid looking at television screens and monitors for long periods, and consult your dermatologist for more information. They can help you with methods to keep your skin healthy, which is they key to staying young looking.

Creams and Other Over the Counter Eye Wrinkle Removers

Of course, good care can always use a little boost. In addition to staying healthy, many people look to eye wrinkle creams and similar products to reduce their existing wrinkles. However, not all these products work – some are little more than placebos. Others will help you clean your skin, or can assist in moisturizing and improving elasticity – factors which reduce wrinkling.

The best way to tell the difference is to read the ingredient list. Ingredients like collagen, retinol, alpha hydroxy acids and vitamin C are all effective. However, even the best cream won’t work if you don’t apply it to clean, healthy skin. Also, avoid products that aren’t designed for use around the eyes – they can irritate this sensitive area of the body. Use of a high quality product on a regular basis could help you with eye wrinkle removal. Of course, if you aren’t sure which product to use, talk to a professional with expertise in this area. They’ll be able to tell you which, if any, eye wrinkle removers are right for you.

Medical Eye Wrinkle Removal

Cosmetic professionals can also help you with eye wrinkle removal. These more permanent solutions work well, but they’re also rather expensive, and may be painful or irritating. Plastic surgeons can perform eye lifts. Laser treatment operators are able to remove the upper layers of skin, and dermatologists and others can administer Botox and similar products. These are just a few of the options, however – talk to a professional about what you can do to get rid of your wrinkles. Remember that not all procedures will be covered by your insurance, so check before you schedule a treatment.

Ladies, the Made from Earth Olive Night (eye) cream does exactly what it says. Finally! Apparently it was one of the Glamour magazine's top products for 2007, so I reluctantly bought it. I have dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. I used to keep my concealer next to my lipstick in my purse. I model on a national shopping channel at all hours of the day and night, and would have to cake on concealer to hide my under-eye scaryness on air. I tossed my concealer! I might dab a little light colored eyeshadow under my eyes for extra brightening but the Made from Earth "Olive Night Creme" has completely taken away my dark circles and puffiness. I hope they never stop making it!
