Family Fun at Thanksgiving
How is it possible that Thanksgiving is next week? Seems like the holidays creep up so fast every year. I know we all plan and plan for the big Thanksgiving dinner but do we plan enough for the long week-end?
After you eat the turkey dinner, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie what next?

Plan for Thanksgiving day as the start. Depending on what time you eat you can add a group walk before or after the meal. Or perhaps a movie that everyone can watch or go out to a movie. I don’t need to mention football – no one will forget that! Board games can keep people entertained.
For the long Thanksgiving week-end there are a milion ideas too. Put up your Christmas tree or Christmas decorations, go to a mall and see the decorations, see a movie, rent movies, look at indoor play areas or indoor pools (great for kids), plan a craft and have all the supplies ready, make it a cookie cooking and decorating time, write out your Christmas cards, finish a book you’ve been putting off, take visiting relatives about town, do some research and be a tourist in your own town, …
Of course, there is always the obvious. GO Shopping! If you love crowds and bargains go holiday shopping. I don’t like the crowds and do all my shopping online. It’s quicker and easier for me. Try www.theblackfriday.com and www.cybermonday.com for some great bargains over the Thanksgiving week-end.
Don’t wait until the last minute, start thinking of ideas.
This is just a few ideas for the Thanksgiving week-end. I’d love to hear more ideas.
