Final Cut Pro HD

Built by emily price on Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

I have recently started working with Final Cut Pro HD for my editing needs, and have been very impressed with the program. The program, currently only for Macintosh computers, is the top of the line in non-linear editing systems. Final Cut Pro is used by video professionals around the world for their video editing needs

One of my favorite parts of Final Cut is the ability to layer video. In cheaper editing programs, you can cut your video together and even put transitions, but you can’t layer it. With final cut pro you can put up to 99 layers of video on top of each other. This can b super helpful for split screens and cross fading different video.

The audio tools that come with Final Cut Pro are also top of the line. The HD version comes with some new audio features that were not previously available in earlier versions of Final Cut. Editing your audio as well as your video allows for a seamless final product.

Final Cut Pro HD of course brings HD video into the video equation. By 2007 most television stations will be broadcasting an HD signal, and soon HD will be the standard in every home across America. Final Cut Pro HD is a vital part in slowly bringing high definition video into our homes now. I think Final Cut is one of the best, if not the best video editing system out there for video professionals and is the only program I will ever use for my video business.
