The weather has a lot to do with the amount of frizziness in your hair. I know in the summer months my hair gets extremely frizzy, especially when it is very humid or raining outside.
The winter months can provide a little break from the frizzies, but then you have to deal with dryness which can also lead to frizziness.
I discovered a secret weapon that can really help with frizziness.
This weapon is called pomade. I once thought that pomade or wax was only to be used to create very punky hairstyles–you know the kind that are somewhat piecy or chunky in places.
I know use pomade to combat frizziness. There are expensive pomades that run between $20-50 or there are the cheaper drugstore kind that are between $5-$20. If you aren’t quite sure if pomade will do the trick for you, I would definitely recommend going with the cheaper version. I have actually had pretty good luck with a drugstore brand.
Be careful to only apply a very small amount of pomade to your hair after it is dry and styled. If you apply too much you may end up with the punk hairstyle I was referring to earlier. Actually, I just put a small amount on my fingertips and run my fingers over my hair from about ear level down. A few times I have put too much and my hair looks greasy–not a good look.
So if you are fighting the frizzies and are frustrated, try out some pomade the next time you style your hair. You may be surprised at the results See hairstyles help, galleries for more tips on styling.
