Yes, healthy and dessert ideas don’t usually go together but there are some fun and great tasting ideas. I’ll share some simple ideas here.

Angel food cake is versatile, tasty and much lower in calories than most cakes. Add fresh berries, a little whipped and dizzle (drizzle not pour) a little warmed chocolate sauce over it. It looks great and tastes good too. It’s a simple recipe with a big impact.

Canned pears (or fresh and sliced) with a little sour cream or greek yogurt on top with a sprinkle of cinamon and sharp cheddar cheese.

Mixed fresh apricots and blueberries and serve with a good aged cheddar cheese.

Sliced strawberries soaked in amaretto with slivered almonds over a low fat vanilla ice cream. (Not a kid friendly dessert)

Sorbet is a good choice. And mixing several varieties to make a beautiful presentation moves it up something tha twill entice your family and be worthy of company.

Jello with mixed fruit and a little whipped cream.

Frozen cherries (thawed) over ricotta cheese or greek yogurt and slivered almonds.

Mixed berries with lime juice, coconut flakes and just a hint of sugar.
