And fiber is also known to flush out fat, which is another plus for those looking to lose weight. Certain types of fiber especially the kind found in fruits and vegetables is ideal for sweeping out fat before your body has a chance to absorb it.

Think of it this way, from a bulk and fiber standpoint you’re better off with a high fiber apple instead of a low fiber glass of apple juice when it comes to losing weight. The apple itself has less calories than a glass of apple juice that contains no fiber.
