If you have eczema, you most likely have dry and irritated skin. Eczema dry skin can be a sign that you have not been drinking enough water. You need to ensure that you are adequately hydrated so that your skin is moisturized from within.
Water is a key component of your body. The human body is made up of around 70% water. If you do not constantly flush your body with water, you are going to get dehydrated. When you get dehydrated, your body has to try to pull water from other areas. That means that some of your blood vessels close and the rest of your body has to work harder to make up the difference. That can cause health issues, like eczema, high blood pressure, heart disease, liver problems and, especially, kidney problems.
Your kidneys, with a bit of help from your liver and urinary tract, serve one major purpose. They flush toxins out of your system. They take fluids within your body and separate them into good fluids and bad fluids. The kidneys take the good fluids and, through vaporization, send them back into the blood. Then they take the bad fluids and process them to be passed out of your body as urine. In order for the kidneys to do their job well and consistently, there has to be a constant flow of water. As you become dehydrated, blood flow to the kidneys becomes slower and toxins stay in your system longer.
When toxins accumulate, they start to crystallize and turn into kidney stones. Kidney stones not only cause you to be in a lot of pain, but they just add to the build up of toxins that you already have, if you are dehydrated. The stones make matters worse because they block the exit from the kidneys, much like if you were plugging a drain to fill up a bath tub. That means that toxins will back up and fill the kidneys. That can eventually cause the kidneys to stop functioning completely.
The most obvious way for you to avoid dehydration is to drink enough water. An average adult generally needs to drink anywhere from 48 to 64 ounces of water per day. A lot of things can affect your individual water needs, though. For instance, if you live in a warm climate, you may tend to dehydrate faster. Extreme heat will make you sweat which will release liquids out your skin pores. Also, a lot of drinks are actually processed by your body as foods, rather than liquids. So, if you drink a lot of tea, coffee, alcohol or soft drinks, you may think that you are hydrating your body, but you actually aren’t. You should try to cut back a bit on those beverages and drink more water, if you want to avoid dehydration. With toxins that cannot be removed via normal channels, they show up as eczema symptoms on your skin.
If you fight dehydration by increasing your water intake, you should find that you are more alert, can concentrate better and have glowing skin. Up your water intake and see the difference in your eczema dry skin!
