I Hate When People Lie To Me!

Just as people are angered by Bush and Blair lying at the collective level about weapons of mass destruction, so – on a personal level – the dangers of lying to friends is really destructive.

“The getting of treasures by a lying tongue [is] a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.” (Proverbs 21:6).

Notice that in the sight of G-d, it is mentioned in the SECOND position of the six things He hates/despises:

“These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,”

(Proverbs 6:16-17).

Destructive power

Everything CONstructed by good friendship is DEstroyed when lies set in. The reason being that TRUTH and LIES are opposites. Jealousy is never on the side of the positive, but a negative, doubting, erroneous nature.

Make sure you always speak the truth. Not doing so will destroy all confidence in you.
