If you look at the latest hairstyles out there today, you will find a majority of them are a long length. There are a variety of different types of styles. For example, there is the straight smooth and silky hairstyle. This hairstyle is flat ironed into a sleek beauty that shines and looks amazing. Then you have the curly hairstyle. Long spiral curls are added throughout using a curling iron or hot rollers. And don’t forget the partial updo long hairstyle. With this hairstyle, the hair in the crown area is pulled back into a ponytail and secured with a ponytail holder or clip.
These styles are all awesome. The only problem is….
Long hair does require a lot of extra work. As my hair has been getting longer, it requires much more work than when it was shorter. If you have layers cut in your hair, you will need to style them to keep them in shape.
There is also the problem of continuously deep conditioning longer hair. Not that short hair shouldn’t be conditioned, but long hair just needs that extra boost that comes from a daily conditioner and even a deeper conditioner once a week or month.
Curly hairstyles are awesome. There are so many celebrities that style their long hair curly for a lot of the red carpet events. It really is an amazing look. One day I decided to try out a curly hairstyle. I started curling my hair with a curling iron. It took FOREVER. My arms were getting tired from holding up the curling iron so long—I have a lot of hair. And then, all the curls fell out after about 1 hour. Totally not worth it for me.
In short, long hair looks totally awesome. But if you are not willing to spend the time to style it and make it look good, you probably won’t end up with awesome hair!.
