I’d like to share my entrepreneurial experiences with you and for a good reason. I want to save you at least some of the heartache I’ve been through. I’m going to be brutally honest in this post and it’s going to be a bit embarrassing for me to tell you some of my failure stories, but I can deal with that if it helps anyone who is starting to venture into the world of internet marketing. I can only hope that you will listen to what I have to say about my internet nightmare failures so that it won’t happen to you.
I have owned and operated my own executive recruiting/research business for over 20 years. Not to pat myself on the back or to brag, but I know “my stuff” and I am very good at what I do. I feel blessed that I was able to learn the skills I needed to have to be successful.
My job, by nature, is kind of like detective work. It keeps me from being bored because I get to learn a little bit about a lot of industries. I am a true “headhunter.” Instead of being a spybot who “searches and destroys” I search for, find and get people hired. A much better outcome. . .
Being the kind of person who likes excitement, change and challenges, I was reading the home page of AOL one morning when I came across an ad. In that ad was a challenge that boiled down to this. . . ” xyz persons want to create 100 millionaires in the next year.” (I’m not mentioning any names right until some legal issues are resolved). I can tell you that this same ad is still running today and you can check it out by typing the phrase “one minute millionaire” and you will see that ad and other ads very similar to the one I responded to. But, DON’T SIGN UP, just take a look. There’s more to the story.
This was my first experience (outside of Ebay, clothing and book purchases) buying a product that had to do with starting a business on the Internet. I clicked on that link and was immediately transported to another world. I began to read what turned out to be a very lengthy sales letter. The letter described the sincere intentions of these people who were going to pluck 100 lucky souls from the face of the earth to personally mentor and grow them for a period of one year so they could become the new millionaires.
The more I read, the more I was “sucked” into this prospect and challenge that they presented. I was a bit skeptical as I started reading, but the more I read, the more these people seemed real. They seemed concerned. They seemed legitimate. After all, both individuals were multi millionaires with names known world-wide. Their names were plastered all over the Internet and people were writing rave reviews about them and what they had accomplished. What a wonderful opportunity to be able to be taken by the hand and shown step by step how to accomplish what they had accomplished. I would be a fool not to try to be one of the “chosen ones”.
This is only the beginning of my journey. You must know more. I will be back next week because business is calling. If you are an Internet Newbie or a person who is considering starting a business on the Internet, follow along with me. You won’t be sorry. I will save you so much potential heartache and pain because I am baring my soul. I am real. I am honest. I have been hurt and scarred. I am bouncing back, but I am ANGRY. Really angry at the slithering snakes who pose as “angels of light” and I will tell you my story so you can start a blog of your own titled “I’M AN INTERNET MARKETING NEWBIE SUCCESS!. God Bless You and Your family today and always.
