In my last post, I told you I had listened to more sales calls from the same company I had already spent almost $5000 with. The first sale they made to me didn’t seem to be working, but they kept telling me that I needed to give it time. . .
So I believed them. I kept giving them time. The first purchase was in October. It was now December and I know that it does take time to grow a business. They had told me that I should be making money within 90 days. It was almost 90 days.
Nearing the end of December, the marketing/sales guy who had been calling me off and on, called me to show me their new product which was called a microsite. I checked out many great looking websites that he provided for me to view. They were beautifully designed for the most part and after listening to his sales pitch, between the design and the money making set up of the site, plus their ad campaign, I couldn’t imagine not making money from this site.
He said he would give me a discount since I had purchased a site map from the company already. My price: $3999.00 for a website that would bring me in thousands in no time at all. He kept touting the success of the other sites that were up and running.
