Iraq – Let’s End This Nightmare!

It’s high time to take stock of the situation. Many lives have been lost in the process while attempts were made to build up a democratic Iraq.

More military won’t bring about the foundation upon which democracy can rest. Unpopular as it is to say, there are far too many factions in Iraq. Let’s end this nightmare.

There are no easy solutions to the Iraq crisis. I am sure glad I am neither part of the UN or any of the national leadership groups that are to make decisions in this area.

Personally, I would prefer information to be at the foundation of a national will among civilian Iraqis. But I do also realize that nothing is quite as it is up here in Western Europe or the US.

BUT, regardless of political viewpoints, this nightmare has been going on for far too long. We need to end it asap. I sincerely hope Iraq can become self-governing at all levels this year.
