Is Laser Hair Removal worth the cost/pain?

Every time I shave I think about what a major pain it really is to have to repeatedly do the same thing. Sometimes you just have to forget about it and make it a part of your regular routine.

But what if you didn’t have to shave?

If you didn’t have to shave, you would save about 5 minutes every day (at least I would). Just think, you could just wash your hair and body and be done. No more worrying about cutting yourself, buying special shaving cream, or those ugly red bumps that you get after shaving.

I don’t really spend a lot of money on shaving products. I use regular soap and some of the more inexpensive razors – probably a major cause of regular cuts. So, if I was to invest in laser hair removal, it wouldn’t be because of the costs involved. I would get laser hair removal to elminate that hassle of having to shave all the time.

I do have 2 major concerns with the costly procedure. One is the cost- it can be quite expensive and might require multiple sesions to get good results. Everyone is different and there are no guarantees really that the procedure will be effective for your hair and skin type. The second concern involves the actual procedure. There is some pain involved, but it will go away pretty quickly. I am concerned about what is actually taking place with laser hair removal — the follicles are being damaged so that they will not grow hair anymore. With the heavy occurance of cancer today, I am concerned that damaging follicles may lead to damaged cells which – you guessed it- might lead to cancer.
