Opener Gautam Gambhir and VVS Laxman scored a majestic double hundreds and it is first time that two double hundreds are scored in an innings for India.
Wristy VVS Laxman hit a magnificent 200 not out against Australian after a long seven years gap. Laxman scored a massive 281 against the same Australians to secure Indians a stunning victory that too after being asked for follow on. India came back strongly and even won the series from one down. Laxman and Gambhir have partnered 278 runs for the 4th wicket. Laxman further criticized the media for the debate about whether the senior’s must quit paving the way for youngsters. Laxman himself turns 34. Laxman further predicted that Australian batsmen would struggle on Friday at the hands of experience Indian bowling attack.
