It’s a Business alright but not as we know it!

If I was paid 1 for everyone who “popped in” for a quick coffee, or rang up for a “quick chat” while I work from home then there would never be any need to actually do any work because I would be a very rich woman!

When you make the transition from working in an office to working from home it is important to remember that it is still a business……. just not as you know it!

My mum still wonders “When is Diane going to get a proper job?” After all sitting here “playing” on my computer is hardly what anyone would call work. And yet a glance at my bank statement will tell you that not only is working from home, great work, but it is also profitable work too!

If you are serious about working from home, working around your family, bringing in an extra income, then YOU MUST set yourself some strict rules about when you are and are not available.

Tell you friends you will speak to them after work hours, let your neighbour know that your car being parked outside is not an invitation to meet for coffee, and stay focused on what you have planned to get done that day.

You have made a plan of what you will get done today, right???

Okay, so if you haven’t then that is your first task. It’s time to start taking your business seriously by focusing on it as if you are starting the next Disney empire!

Begin to take your business seriously and you begin to take your self seriously, when you begin to take your self seriously you begin to take your income seriously, and once you do that…… well the sky’s the limit
