Juicing To Heal Eczema Skin

Built by Evelyn Lim on Saturday, February 24th, 2007

One remedy that you can add to your eczema treatment is juicing. It is often told that Mother Nature has all the answers to our health issues. That may hold some amount of truth to it. For years drinking fresh juices have helped a lot of people fight off certain kind of diseases. Juicing helps to detoxify and cleanse our bodies. It is a wonderful detox diet drink. With plenty of vitamins loaded, it is wonderful for those who want beautiful looking skin.

Blending and juicing more than one fruit is a good idea as you can get all the nutrients each fruit has to offer. You can also create surprisingly delicious drinks if you combine the right kind of fruits and vegetables. There is no need to add any more sugar especially if the fruits that you pick for juicing are already naturally sweet. Sugar also means calories and some people say that processed sugar contributes to eczema breakouts, especially in children.

To get you started with your juicing habit, I’d like to share to you my regular juice recipe drink to help me heal my eczema prone skin. The ingredients are very common and you can get one from your local market. Here are the fruits and vegetables you need to buy:

2 small green apples

1 starfruit

dragon fruit

1-2 celery sticks

If you decide to make this juice recipe, remember not to peel the skin of the green apples because most of the nutrients of apples are located on its skin. Apples are great sources of dietary fiber, antioxidants and a lot of important nutrients for the skin including vitamins K and C. Recent studies also show that certain types of apples may contain UV-B protection that can protect your skin from the sun.

Starfruits are also great addition for your juice drinks. Similar to green apples, they are rich in fiber and Vitamin C. Celery also contains good amounts of vitamin C that can also help in preventing cancer while dragon fruits are low in calories and high in antioxidants that can help in maintaining a good skin.

This is but one of my several fruit and vegetable detox diet drinks. Aside from improved skin, it also promotes regular bowel movement. Regular bowel movements aids in the elimination of toxins and waste.

Experts agree that juice drinks are best taken in the morning and I love having this one as my mid-morning snack. Try this one and experience how it can improve your skin for yourself!
