KartOO is a metasearch engine with visual display interfaces. KartOO searches many search engines simultaneously, gathers the results, compiles them, and represents them in a series of interactive maps. The interactive maps demonstrate visually the relationship between the Web sites and related topics.
The “found” Web sites are mapped as balls with the largest ball containing the most relevant information. When the mouse passes over the balls on the map, a description of each site is displayed. By moving the mouse over the topics on the map, the user can see the relationship between the topic and the search terms.
