LenDale White Should Prove Worthy For The Tennessee Titans

I think the Tennessee Titans are going to be extremely happy they picked up LenDale White in the 2006 National Football League Draft. Many teams decided to pass on him because of the hamstring issues that prevented him from working out before the draft.

However, how many times have we seen teams pass on players because of some bad workouts while ignoring the player’s good college playing history? In contrast, how many times have we seen teams ignore a player’s questionable college career and make a pick because of an outstanding workout at the NFL Combine?

Many times, these workout warriors end up a big flop in the NFL. I have a feeling LenDale White is going to go on to a great NFL career. Just look at what this guy did at USC while playing college ball. The guy was money on the goal-line and could also break out some long runs.

Actually, White reminds me of a player who just retired from the NFL in style Jerome Bettis. Remember back in 1996 when the St. Louis Rams decided Bettis was washed up and traded him to the Pittsburgh Steelers? They said he had a bad attitude and was trouble.

All the guy did in Pittsburgh was have a Hall of Fame career and helped the Steelers win their fifth Super Bowl in 2005. Not only that, but he was a pillar in the community, making a difference off the field as well. Attitude problem indeed!

Now, there’s no guarantee that LenDale White will prove his naysayers wrong. But, I just have a feeling about him. The guy is a football player. I predict a solid NFL career for LenDale White. The teams who passed on him will be regretting it when he’s running over their defenses over the next few fall seasons.
