Local Sacramento Florist

A Vanity Fair Florist has been a flower shop for more than 35 years. This florist was originally located at 6201 Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights, CA 95621. In 2005, we noticed that there were fewer and fewer people coming in to the shop to order flowers. The economy looked like it had peaked and was starting to slide down. and more and more of our business was done over the phone or the internet. The decision was made to change gears and downsize and prepared to hunker down. We found a small commercial property, bought it, moved out of our leased space and moved in to our own place. We’re glad we did.

Along the way, we lost a few customers and gained some in the surrounding area.

A Conroy’s Florist nearby suddenly closed, another moved to Roseville and then finally shut down because of high rental expense and low business, and another closed even before the Christmas holiday of 2008. Conroy’s was a large florist, and the two others were not as large but these were larger and busier than our shop. Their demise has affected several wholesalers who were owed for floral supplies.

By staying small, we have been able to stay open, pay our bills on time, and assure our customers that we’re there when they need us the most, and they can rely on us to be there because we own our own commercial property.
