Make Money Online Without All The Hype And Gimmicks

I’m sure you’ve seen all the get-rich-quick operators on the internet. They tell you they’ll teach you how to throw up a website and in about ten minutes, the millions will come rolling in. About two years ago when I got interested in learning how to make money online, I fell victim to a few of these guys, too.

Now I know better and if I can help you avoid the frustration of the hype, great! I hope to help you filter through all the noise and understand what truly works when you’re trying to make money online.

Let’s discuss a couple things the gurus out there try to tell you and then I’ll let you know what I’ve seen work in my experience.

First of all, when someone tries to sell you a product that they claim will have you making tens of thousands of dollars a month in a matter of weeks, run as fast as you can the other way. Why do I say this? Because building a business online is just like building a business offline.

Sure, some people have started online businesses with a great idea that took off and they made a lot of money online very quickly. But, ask yourself this Is that the normal situation or is it more likely that you’ll need to work at your online business as a serious business for awhile before seeing major profits?

Just use a little common sense. I don’t mean that in an offensive way. When I first tried making money online, I believed some of these get-rich-quick guys and my own greed got me in trouble. I spent money on some of this stuff and when I got it, realized that most of it is full of holes. They don’t really give you all their money-making secrets. Just enough to get you going and then you have to discover the rest on your own.

That’s another thing – these guys are always talking about their making money online secrets. Now that I know a little more about making money online, I just smile when I see this stuff.

Would you like the real secret of how to make money online? OK, here it is pick a subject you love, build a website around it, and then work diligently on it a little each day. The future of the internet is quality content. Not spammy websites with a bunch of ads without quality content for a human being to read.

Don’t get all caught up in the technology. The bottom line is that if a human being gets nothing out of your content, you’re dead in the water. Humans are the ones typing keywords into Google. You must build websites to please those human desires for information. Quality info.

Be prepared, also, to build more than one website. Depending on your income goals, it might take several websites to make you happy making money online. Then again, you may build one that makes tens of thousands a month for you eventually. I’m on my third website so far and have an idea for a fourth.

The bottom line is that it isn’t going to happen in ten minutes. Building websites is a process that happens over a few months or years. And you have to put in time to create quality content. Pick a subject you love, have fun with it, and you’ll be making money online in no time. Just be careful of the get-rich-quick guys.
