I used to grab a yogurt or something small to eat for lunch. The calories in many yogurts are fairly low. Yet, after eating these yogurts (in about 2 spponfuls) I often felt even more hungry and started looking at eating more food and usually very high calorie food.
Today I had a very satisfying lunch and it weighed in at only 150 calories. Guess what I had.
Filling, low calorie lunch ideas
I had a can of Campbells healthy choice tomato soup. I mixed it with a can of water, microwaved it and it was ready in about 2 minutes. I added 5 saltine crackers to the soup for a total of:
Tomato soup with water: 90 calories
5 Crackers: 60 calories
Total 150 calories
Although I probably wouldn’t want to eat tomato soup every day, I may venture into other varieties of healthy choice soups.
There is nothing worse than eating a low calorie lunch, like a yogurt or something else, and then be totally starving 5 minutes later. The tomato soup was filling, low in calories and probably is packed full of nutrients.
