I am convinced that my ministry would be greatly enhanced by owning a new laptop computer. After all, says I to my wife, just think of all the good I could do in ministry if I owned a new notebook computer.
I guess I was inspired by my son’s recent purchase of an HP notebook computer.
I recently shared on my website that my son purchased an new HP Notebook Computer (I still call it a laptop but he says it is a notebook).
OK, what kind of computer should he choose, no matter if is called a notebook or laptop? He had already chosen to go the laptop direction as opposed to a desktop because he plans to return to college at age 33.
Proud because he did his laptop shopping right — studying latest computer resources, comparing laptop prices as well as computer peripherals offered with specific brands, and even interviewing other laptop owners in some of the chat rooms he is on in myspace.com.
Here was is notebook purchase process:
He finally decided upon an HP Laptop. OK, but then he had to decide whether to purchase through a local Hewlett Packard provider or make his notebook purchase online. And if he did buy online, should he go through HP Direct or through another laptop computer outlet.
As you can see, there were many decisions to be made — just to buy a laptop computer. Finally he decided to purchase a HP laptop from HP Direct.
But once he arrived at HP Direct, he was faced with more decisions as to which specific laptop to choose for his unique needs. I’ll save that for another chapter in Exciting Saga Of A Laptop Computer Purchase. If my story becomes a best selling book, maybe my wife will let me buy my own new notebook computer.
Onward with purpose,
Chaplain Paul L. Slater
