Nuby Sippy Cups or Nuby Replacement Spouts – Is There a Toll Free Number?

Built by Margaret Dunn on Monday, August 4th, 2008

Nuby sippy cups and nuby replacement spouts are made by a company by the name of Luv ‘n Care. Luv ‘n Care is headquartered in Monroe Louisiana. They do provide a Nuby toll free phone number for all of their products.

If you are having issues with any of your Nuby products, do not call or contact the distributors or the retailers you purchased your items from online. They are only distributors. Your best chance of getting help is to contact the Luv ‘n Care company directly. (see the Nuby toll free number below)

The Nuby company toll free phone number after a few prompts, will get you through to a customer service rep during normal business hours. They will carefully listen to your issue and provide a solution.

Before you contact them, if your Nuby sippy cup is leaking, be sure to check that you did not put it in the dishwasher on the bottom rack so that any parts became warped or distorted. Make sure that when you put the lid on the sippy cup that the notches on both the lid and on the silicone spout itself are lined up. Be sure that you have screwed the lid on straight as many leaks occur when the lids are on crooked.

If you have a baby who is teething, make sure you check the spouts inside for tears or rips. Sometimes babies and toddlers like to poke at the spout opening and that will cause your cups to leak.

If you have a two handled Nuby sippy cup and it is leaking, make sure you check the line up. These cups seem to leak more often than any of the other cups, but the Luv ‘n Care rep said that they can check to see if there was a bad batch of spouts by the model numbers.

It is important to keep in mind that the Nuby customer service department wants to be helpful so approach them in a kind way, even if you are frustrated.

  1. The Nuby sippy cups are still the #1 best selling sippy cups in the world. Not every product works for everyone and you will find that most comments, if you do your research, support the fact that the Nuby sippy cups are still the leading cups for many reasons. The replacement spouts are now available and even though the product information warns that babies and toddlers should not chew on them, this is the leading cause of them tearing. In addition, the silicone spout is very easy to remove. It's a bit harder to line up the notches, but in my experience, we love the cups and have used them for two generations. That being said, not all products work for all people.

  2. Hi Danielle. I'm not sure which sippy cup you have. I have not had the same experiences as you with the Nuby sippy cups we have used. However, I do know that if you don't line the notches up correctly and you tighten the lids too tight, they will leak. Nuby is coming out with a new sippy cup that is molded so there are no notches to line up. I have never had a spout rip or tear. The babies and toddlers are not supposed to chew on them (as stated in the insert), but they do. It's a good idea to take the sippy cup away when you see this happen. That's why the replacement spouts are so popular. Many do chew on the spouts and the parents are aware of that. Their little ones like the softness of the silicone spout so they just order the replacements. As a consumer though, if the cups don't work for you, that's when you call the toll free number above if you really want a solution. Otherwise, it may be time to try a new brand of sippy cup. Not every brand of sippy cup will be right for everyone.

I am very disappointed in the nuby cups I have purchased. The silicone spout is difficult to remove to clean and almost impossible to put back with the ridges aligned so as the seals don't leak. after the second removal the silicone spout ripped whilst I was trying to put it back into place. never buying again and passing on my bad experience to those I know with toddlers. Would appreciate your opinion on this matter, Danielle Briese
