Ouija Board Rules and Instructions – How to Play Ouija Board

Some might tell you that the Ouija board is a dangerous game, and not something to be meddled with lightly.  Also known as the ‘Devils oracle’, the ‘Talking Board’ and the ‘Spirit Board’ the Ouija board is a game that has perhaps existed in one form or another for as long as man has walked the earth.  With terrible tales of Ouija board experiences gone bad passed down from generation to generation, and whispered around camp fires and party’s in the dead of night it would be a wise man indeed who learnt how to play properly, before daring to dabble with this the most notorious of all games.

Ouija Board Instructions

To play the Ouija board it is recommended that their are at least two people present, and that all involved should approach the Ouija board session with an open mind.  If a member of the group is closed to the idea of the Ouija boards authenticity, and is only present to mock, the Ouija board will not work.

The pointer or ‘Planchette’ should first be positioned at the center of the Ouija board, and all players should then gently place their finger tips upon it.

Only one person may ask questions of the Ouija board at any given time and Ouija board sessions are generally started with a question along the lines of “Is anybody there?”

Should you successfully connect with an entity via the Ouija board you should feel the planchette begin to move gently of its own accord in response to your questions, slowly at first but gaining momentum.

The Ouija board in response to your questions may answer ither by utilizing the ‘yes’, ‘no’, options or by spelling out responses by using the letters and numbers.

Ouija Board Rules

Because if you want to play, there’s no point taking risks.  So here are the most commonly observed precautions used for the playing the Ouija board safely.

Ouija Board Rule One

‘Never Play Alone’ – Why?  Because if you believe the stories then you’ll know that some crazy shit can happen, and that during the game itself, and following it should strange things continue to happen, either for physical protection or mental support, you will not want to be alone.

Ouija Board Rule Two

‘Don’t Allow the Demon to Escape’ – It is said that should you allow the planchette to count down through the numbers and backwards through the alphabet this will allow whatever entity you have currently made contact with the chance to escape whatever realm it now inhabits, and pass over into ours.

And should this happen, and you’ve contacted something that isn’t very pleasant, you will not want it hanging around to lurk and cause mischief, or worse.

Ouija Board Rule Three

‘Place a Silver Coin or Trinket Upon the Ouija Board’ – Why?  Because silver is said to have the power to repel negative energies, and it is told that by placing a small silver coin, etc. upon the Ouija board during a session the worst kind of beings are kept at bay, and are unable to make use of the Ouija board, as a door through which to cross.

Ouija Board Rule Four

‘Never Mention God, Jesus, or Other Deities of Light’ – Some believe that the Ouija board attracts only entities of a nefarious nature, lost souls and Demons, the bored, the lonely, and possibly the vicious and twisted, and all of them are fearful of the ‘Light’.  To mock Demons and force them to face their fears by talking of Gods will only achieve angering them, and making an enemy of powerful creatures of darkness is not something that most people would choose, and perhaps survive.

Ouija Board Rule Five

‘Always Say Goodbye’ – And not because it’s the polite thing to do.  But because the saying of ‘Goodbye’ is essentially the players way of ending the Ouija board session and disconnecting the board from the other realms in the same way as hanging up a phone.  After saying “Goodbye” loudly the planchette guided by the spirits, etc. should now move to the ‘Goodbye’ at the bottom of the board, should this not happen command “leave” in a stern voice, and then pass the planchette through the flame of a candle to banish the entity.

Are you brave enough or foolish enough to gamble with sanity and soul both?
