PleaseConvinceMe.com, run by Pastor Jim, a cold-case homicide detective, Master’s Degree holder in Design and Architecture, and a pastor, is designed to provide answers for young Christians who are challenged in their schools and communities, while also providing evangelical information for unbelievers and those who have been misled by errant theologies. And this it does very well. The site is designed as a series of questions and answers on various topics: Christianity, Theism, Atheism, The Bible, The Purpose, Christian Living, Christian Positions, and Mormonism. For each topic, a series of questions are posed, questions typical of those asked by unbelievers and new believers both. Pastor Jim replies in a conversational manner and the Q&A is followed by a series of links to short articles which more fully explore the question and answer, relying on Scripture to back up the answers. The whole Q&A reads almost like a transcript of an actual conversation, not some academic recitation of stiff exchanges of opinions. The Q&A on Mormonism is especially extensive. The site is easy to navigate and read. The graphics are static from page to page but well-designed. The links page connects you to more resources on apologetics and Mormonism. There is apparently an on-line editing system of some sort but it is accessible only to Windows users running Internet Explorer. Consideration should be given to re-designing this as IE5 is notoriously subject to attack and is on its way out, not to mention the advantage of restoring access to Macintosh and Linux systems and browsers such as Mozilla, Opera, and others. This is not the only site to have this problem. Otherwise, it is a great resource and should be useful to all. You can contact Pator Jim at pastorjim@www.PleaseConvinceMe.com.
