If you like to go swimming in the summer you probably already know about the effects of chlorine and sea water on your hair. Chlorine can attach itself to your cuticle and you will need special shampoo to get rid of it.
There are some tips for swimming that might help your hair out a little bit–like getting your hair totally wet before getting in the water, and applying a leave in conditioner to hair.
Here is a tip that I plan to try next time.
Swimming is a typical activity for the summer. Whether it be at a pool, or in the ocean, the effects of the water on your hair can be tremendous. If you go swimming a lot, you might even want to invest in a good swim cap. I know, they don’t look very attractive, but think of the damage you will be saving your hair from.
If you color or bleach your hair, cholorine can wreak havoc on your utlimate color. Green hair is never cool.
This hair care tip is from Garland Drake International, a company that manufactures hair extensions supplies and offers hair extension training. They say tat if you rinse your hair in club soda you will neutralize the reduce the effects of cholrine and salt water on your hair.

I GO TO THE BEACH 3 DAYS A WEEK AND TO MY POOL 3 DAYS A WEEK. I WOULD "NEVER" WET MY HAIR. THEY MAKE THE CUTEST "HATS" AND YOU CAN TIE A CUTE "SCRARF" IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. I GET COMPLIMENTS ON THAT ALL THE TIME. WHY WOULD YOU PUT YOUR HAIR THROUGH THAT AFTER PERMING, STRAIGHTENING OR COLORING YOUR HAIR. I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF A REASON. I HAVE A BLAST, I GO IN THE WATER, I RAFT AND I SWIM AND NEVER HAVE TO WET MY HAIR.
