If it’s a rainy or snowy day and your’re kids are bored point them to the computer. You can have them play the standard computer games or what about an online scavenger hunt.
You ask them questions and they have to go find the answers. If your child is interested in space send him/her searching on the NASA site. Your child shows an interest in history – make it interesting – send them to history.com or let them find cool sites on their own. Ask them questions about their own town or state. Make it personal and interesting to them. Even looking up sports trivia can teach them a lot about Internet research.
They’ll love the discovery and it doesn’t feel like learning.
