Remote Access the Secure Way

Ever been at home and needed a file from your work computer? Or at work, and needed the file from home?

There’s a great service that is designed to let you access your computer remotely — and securely — from any other site. You get full control of your PC, just as if you were sitting there.

The service is called GoToMyPC. Version 5 was just released and it is up to 2 times faster!

For a small monthly fee, will be able to access your computer remotely from any other computer using a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc).

Of course, one of the important features is security. GoToMyPC operates on a dual-password system and one of the passwords is on your remote computer. In other words, you log into GoToMyPC and then you log into your computer as another step.

Who will this program help? Salesmen who travel, people who “take their work home at night,” tech support people, network support people and everyday people who travel.

GoToMyPC is offered from Citrix, who also offer a related program designed for Internet meetings called GoToMeeting. GoToMeeting allows up to 10 people to participate in a voice and presentation meeting over the Internet, at a very inexpensive rate. Of course, there is a Corporate version, too, which allows up to 250 people to participate.
